JUST IN: Building explodes in Manhattan, injuries reported

An explosion rocked an East Village building in Manhattan Thursday, causing the building to collapse and sending plumes of smoke down Second Avenue.

Injuries were reported at the building, which is at the intersection of East 7th Street, DNA Info reports. The building could be seen fully engulfed in flames just before 4 p.m.

The cause of the explosion wasn't immediately clear.
