ISRAEL AND HAMAS AT WAR

Israeli forces reached the gates of Gaza City's main hospital, the primary target in their battle to seize control of the northern half of the Gaza Strip, where medics said patients including newborn babies were dying for lack of fuel.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel had offered fuel to Gaza's Al Shifa hospital, which suspended operations after running out of fuel, but that the militants had refused to receive it.
Israel said it was poised to impose quiet on the Lebanese front as hostilities spiked, with Hezbollah wounding civilians in a cross-border missile attack and the Israeli air force bombing sites linked to the Iranian-backed group.

At SpaceX, worker injuries soar in Elon Musk's rush to Mars

Reuters documented at least 600 previously unreported workplace injuries at Elon Musk's rocket company: crushed limbs, amputations, electrocutions, head and eye wounds and one death. SpaceX employees say they're paying the price for the billionaire's push to colonize space at breakneck speed.

Current and former employees said SpaceX's high injury rates reflect a chaotic workplace where often under-trained and overtired staff routinely skipped basic safety procedures as they raced to meet Musk's aggressive deadlines for space missions.

Two Indian cities joined New Delhi to be among the world's worst 10 for pollution on Monday morning, with smoke heavy in the air a day after revelers let loose with firecrackers for Diwali - the annual Hindu festival of light.

The capital New Delhi took, as it often does, the top spot. It had an air quality index figure of 420, putting it the 'hazardous' category, according to Swiss group IQAir.
