Multiple reports of a shooting at the U.S. Capitol were issued Monday, but details of the situation are still coming in.

Capitol Police locked down the multi-building complex at the U.S. Capitol just before 3 p.m. Monday, for what was billed as “a potential security threat.”

According to The Associated Press, the White House was also put on lockdown.

The Senate sergeant at arms issued a statement Monday afternoon as the reports began streaming in. “Shooter has been caught. One police officer shot, but not seriously. Remain sheltered in place.”

This story is developing.
