Gaza

Israeli strikes on Nasser hospital in Gaza killed at least 15 people, including four journalists, one of whom worked for Reuters, Palestinian health officials said.
Thousands of Australians joined pro-Palestinian rallies, organisers said, amid strained relations between Israel and Australia following the centre-left government's decision to recognise a Palestinian state.

United States

The Department of Health and Human Services reported the first human case in the US of travel-associated New World screwworm, a flesh-eating parasite, from an outbreak-affected country. In Texas cattle country, ranchers have been bracing for screwworms.
President Donald Trump's push for Republican-led states to redraw their House of Representatives districts to protect their majority in next year's midterm elections could set the stage for Republicans to dominate the chamber in decades to come, political analysts and experts said.
