Leak has US officials bracing

Classified documents that appeared online, with details ranging from Ukraine's air defenses to Israel's Mossad spy agency, have US officials working to identify the leak's source. The breadth of topics addressed in the documents suggests they may have been leaked by an American rather than an ally.
South Korea is aware of news reports about a leak of several classified US military documents and plans to discuss "issues raised" as a result of the leak, a South Korean presidential official said.
US officials said some documents that reportedly revealed battlefield casualty estimates from Ukraine appeared to have been altered to understate Russian losses.

China's military carried out drills around Taiwan, with a Chinese aircraft carrier joining in combat patrols as Taipei reported another surge of warplanes near the island. China announced the three days of drills following Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen's meeting with US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
Russia's forces kept up up attacks along the front, concentrating on two cities in the eastern Donetsk region, as Ukraine said it repelled more than 40 enemy strikes over a 24-hour period. We look at the latest developments from the war in Ukraine.

Journey into sleep

Scientists are finding that the timing of our sleep and our circadian rhythm matters more than we know.

Doctors are increasingly waking up to the idea that getting enough sleep is crucial. In 2022, the American Heart Association advised physicians that asking patients how many hours they sleep is as important as checking their blood pressure, smoking status, diet and exercise habits. And Neuroscientists are realizing that the timing of our sleep may be just as important as the amount. We are beginning to understand how we might work with, rather than against, the rhythms of our bodies.

King Charles and his wife Camilla will travel to and from their coronation in Britain's oldest and newest royal carriages, Buckingham Palace said. Charles will be crowned at Westminster Abbey on May 6 in a ceremony full of pomp and pageantry, with traditions dating back 1,000 years.
