Highlights
U.S. President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Unpledged to work toward the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, while Washington committed to provide security guarantees for its old enemy. But a joint statement signed at the end of the historic summit gave few details on how this would be achieved, and made no mention of the international sanctions or a peace treaty.
In the first 13 seconds of meeting each other,Trump and Kim Jong Un both sought to project a sense of command but displayed some anxiety at the start of the high-stakes summit in Singapore. Reuters spoke with a body language expert to analyse Kim’s and Trump's movements during their initial meet. Click here to follow more from Singapore with our live blog.
