New Yorkers queued to get a taste of  Indonesian coffee, among other attractions at an Indonesian tourism booth in New York Times Travel Show. The Indonesian booth was the top favorite of the show.

New York, GIVnews.com – At Jacob Javits Center in New York last week, visitors stood in long queues to taste Indonesia coffee offered by the ‘Wonderful Indonesia’ booth. Available at the stall was coffee from several parts of Indonesia like Papua, Sumatra and Java.
Wonderful Indonesia was one of the hundreds of booths found at the New York Times Travel Show 2016 at the Jacob Javits Center. It was an annual event held by the New York Times on 8-10January, 2016.
At least 100 countries and tour operators took part in the event. Like in the past, around 25,000 visitors visited the travel show. They were allowed entry after paying a US$20/day entry ticket.
The Wonderful Indonesia booth had been the most visited booth at the New York Times Travel Show 2016, according to a release received by GIV from the the Indonesian Consulate General in New York.
Coffee was not the only attraction for visitors who visited the Indonesian booth. The shape of the Indonesian stall itself was also alluring as it resembled Pinisi, Indonesia’s traditional and notorious, two-masted sailing ship. Its decorations and pictures about Indonesian natural beauty and culture, the country’s culinary and the life of its people were all attractive to many visitors of the New York Times Travel Show. The booth also provided a stage to perform Indonesia’s traditional dances.
Enlivening the Wonderful Indonesia booth included a number of travel agencies, tour operators and hotel & resort operators like The Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa, the Dharmawangsa Hotel, Doyan Travel, and PT. Rolaas. The Indonesian Consulate General in New York and the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism cooperated for the country’s participation in the event.
